I posted this in another thread about whiney Muslims heading to Washington on 9/11 to pretent like they're victims. Thought it applied to this thread.
Muslims gathered on the Mall in Washington DC and pleaded to the big bad White Americans to not hurt them. It's amazing how the Muslim community continues to pretend that they were the victims of 9/11. Why is there nothing in the release dealing with resecuring their religion from radicals?
They really only hurt themselves. The double talk they give about condemning the attacks, which includes more denunciation of US policies than blame for radical Islam, and the constant and disingenuous harping about the fear they supposedly live under is setting their communities back politically and economically for years to come. They're not seen as fully American, beacuse they don't want to be seen as fully American, and that comes with a price.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Bwah. Bwah. Bwah. BWaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Give me a break. Fit in or not. That is that choice that every immigrant faces. Get used to it!

In the past year, the Council on American-Islamic Relations has documented more than 1,700 anti-Muslim incidents, 82 of them in Florida. About 5 a day?? Someone's gotta be kidding??? I get harrassed that many times a day!

9-11 was the biggest hate crime in US history, and it was perpetrated by Muslims in the name of their religion.
Perhaps there are some TRUE innocents here. But by and large what I hear and see from most American Muslims is excuses and "it was wrong, BUT"s and victim games
This sort of two faced dupicity doesn't tend to lead to good will.
IMO Instead of all the PC crap we should've effectively said, that very day, "with whom do you stand" and then demanded an answer. It might have saved us all a lot of grief

Bingo! They come and live here for those "God given American Rights" but they are not willing to fight for the liberty they crave - they don't want to become Americans, they are Muslims first and last, never Americans. This sets them apart and causes those who would defend their country from an Islamic Jihad a little nervous. Red. White and Blue cowls and turbans would be nice..............

My neighborhood has several Moslem young men in US military service; more than one of them is in Afghanistan right now. They will undoubtedly serve in Iraq when we go in there and clean that place up. I am not sure what you are talking about.

There are always a few exceptions to the rule, but in the case of muslims, I say the proof is in the pudding...
I understand there has been controversy with some muslim servicemen about fighting in muslim countries...

>especially when the most egregious offense was a complaint of folks (silently) getting up and moving away from a hajibbed muslim woman in a movie theater.
What's up with that? Mulsims seem to really focus on clothes (esp for women) yet they'll do something like watch a movie which they should not be doing if they are all religious and want to keep away from corruption.

Racism will always be with us. Against whites, against blacks, against Latinos, against Jews, against Asians, and against Muslims.
racism
n 1: the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races 2: discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race [syn: racialism]

Pet peeve time here. I am unsure how you can ge "racist" against Latinos, Muslims, or Jews, as these are not "races" but "cultural groups".
In the case of Muslims, I have no problem being culturalist toward this group. I firmly believe anyone adhering to this belief system is choosing to hold tight to a ticket straight to 12th-Century living (or worse).
You can't choose not to be Black or Asian. You can choose not to adhere to a vicious, tyrannical, dictatorial, oppressive political system that cloaks itself in the guise of religion to use the (relatively recent) Western tradition of religious tolerance against us. This is why it is not acceptable to be racist, but being culturalist is another matter. The multiculturalists have told us it is "wrong" to not accept and appreciate all cultures, that all culturals are morally equivalent. The multiculturalists are telling us to live a lie, as these things are plainly false.
I will become tolerant of Islam when there are churches and synagogues in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, Damascus, Jakarta and similar places, and the locals aren't regularly burning the structures and attacking the attendees. Until then, I will remain a culturalist with respect to Islam.

It's easy to criticise any small group for failing to participate in the military. I have my own favorites - Harvard, Yale, the rest of the Ivy League, etc. When it comes to Moslems there are so few of them in this country it would not be surprising to not find them commonly in the military.
Remember, however, that the last guy up the rope ladder on the last helicopter flying out of our embassy in Saigon on the last day was a Palestinian who had been born on the Mount of Olives.
You should also not believe everything about Moslems that you read in the newspapers. The writers are biased against the United States and are always much too ready to portray Arabs and Moslems as helpless victims.

1,700 anti-Muslim incidents, 82 of them in Florida. For many members of the Muslim community, estimated to number several million nationwide and more than 70,000 in South Florida, the words United We Stand now ring with irony.
Let's see, 1700 / 3,000,000 = 0.05%

Would they rather be in internment camps? They could be all together.....and no one would harass them there.....???
