As has been pointed out, kinda hard to keep a pill down when you are puking up everything you have ever eaten. Smoking those same substances doesn't have that draw back. That is where they came up with the medical issue.
Lastly, if you were that up on the medical side of things, you would know that there are no psysically addictive properties to marijuana.
I'm not "up" on the medical effects of marijuana. This is why I refer to places like the Mayo Clinic. I would tend to take their word on the subject over the chants of the drug-legalization lobby.
