A Columbus woman was sentenced to 18 months in prison yesterday for sending e-mails to the FBI last fall that said she would kill President Bush and send anthrax to schools, the U.S. attorney general said.
Alemash Alemayehu, 24, sent the e-mails to the FBI's Web site that collects tips on terrorist activity, prosecutors said.
She pleaded guilty to the charges in January before U.S. District Court Judge Algenon L. Marbley.
There is no evidence that Alemayehu possessed anthrax, U.S. Attorney Gregory Lockhart said.
In an e-mail Sept. 29, she said she would "destroy the white house and kill the president, and take over american.''
She sent another e-mail on Oct. 27 that said she would "send anthrax to all colleges, middles school, that where lots of people are where there no police be ready to buri more people.''
Each offense carried a maximum prison sentence of five years and a fine of as much as $250,000.

The judge should have added 10 years on her sentence for stupidity.

Anyone else think Alabama's "Cheap Seats" oughtta be the official Clippers Anthem?
= )
This town ain't big, this town ain't small.
It's a little of both they say.
Our ball club may be minor league but at least it's triple A.
We sit below the Marlboro man, above the right field wall.
We do the wave all by ourself.
Hey ump, a blind man could've made that call.
Chorus:
We like our beer flat as can be.
We like our dogs with mustard and relish.
We got a great pitcher what's his name.
Well we can't even spell it.
We don't worry about the pennant much.
We just like to see the boys hit it deep.
There's nothing like the view from the cheap seats.
The game was close, we'll call it a win.
Go off to toast the boys again.
That local band is back in town.
They got a kinda minor league sound.
They're not that bad, they're not that good.
But all in all it's understood.
We wanna dance, they wanna play.
We wouldn't have it any other way.
Of course, we don't have a right field wall, per se, so we usually sit behind the third base line. (Former home of the Figga Fan Club.)

I'll vote for Shuckin' Bubba. Heard them and Conspiracy about 6 years back at the 'Crazy Caps for Cancer' party.
But Phil & The Dozers have quite the local following...
For better or for worse.

I always thought Columbus was a mandatory stop for the Wolverines on their way to the Rose Bowl. [couldn't resist]

Yeah, and it's still pure Americana...
The local Knights of Columbus bring out the flag, some local talent sings the Anthem, and usually someone semi-famous will do a post game show. Lou Seal throws goodies into the stands during the game.
"We do the wave all by ourselves..."
= D
We actually saw Kathy Troccoli at a Clippers game.
Four bucks for the game, five bucks for the post game show (I think). Gotta love it!
All you cowtowners (or neighbors thereof) who want in on this, stick it in your dayplanners (or whatever).
As an incentive, you'd get to meet the real live Latin Bomb! And she'd probably wear heels to the game...
All for just four bucks.
