No it wouldn't. The initial .pdx post was made here on FR, therefore FReepers were the target audience. What the rest of the world does is of secondary interest.
>My point that actually bore on the discussion was that a legitimate spread existed.
I don't have a problem with that. But without seeing much harder data there is no way I would believe that less than 40% of all Freepers are running other than 800 x 600 (as your post suggests).
I said: 95% of all screens in the world today are set to 800 x 600
The world is a big place, and I concede that 95% is a "sporting" estimate, {ggg}, but when you rebut it's important to keep things in context. Meanwhile:
>Further, that to satisfy your request for full-screen images, such a variety of resolutions in use would have to be taken into account. Would you continue to claim otherwise?
Yes, I do claim otherwise. I know what I suggested (not requested) and it was exactly as stated. Here is my original post:
How about reposting that image as a .jpg file, resized to a screen width of 750. Makes it a lot easier to copy and forward. -TNX.
Having thus responded, I have to say that of all the posts and topics on FR, this one is absolutely of the least interest to me. I really don't care what anyone res anyone is running, but I do believe a good .jpg file would be more valuable to more viewers than the .pdf file offered. (And yes, I use .pdf files here all the time. )
Beyond that, "Frankly my Dear, I, uhm, really couldn't care less".
