Why yes, Hussein is a saint. So is Imad Mugniyah. And Abu Nidal, now that guy was a real sweetheart. Nevermind those embassy bombings... or Khobar Towers, ir countless other things where they shed human blood, we can always count on the peace at any price crowd to excuse them all and blame the US, and tell us that the word of dictators is always worth more than the word of US citizens. Iraqi defectors are always lying when they talk bad about Iraq.... Iraqi hired help is always speaking the truth when they say Iraq is innocent. Trust the Iraqi national press, and the radical papers of the middle east, but don't believe Ari Fleischer. Trust the Physicians for a Responsible Society, even when they lie they mean well; and trust Ramsey Clark when he panders to Arafat, but don't trust Donald Rumsfeld.

Yeah, right. (/sarcasm)

Oh, yeah, I forgot... I didn't see Rumsfeld drag Army rangers through the streets of Mogadishu. I didn't see Condi Rice torturing US fighter pilots or patting little hostage kids on the head in front of the camera. I didn't see Dick Cheney pilot a plane into the WTC. I didn't see a boatload of Americans pilot a small boat into the USS Cole, or attempt to sink the USS Sullivans. It wasn't an American diplomat who drove a truck bomb into the US embassy in Kenya. Nor did a CIA agent drive one into our embassy in Tanzania. It wasn't the Fish & Wildlife Service which was caught trying to peddle weapons grade material with little samples to try out over there in Europe. It wasn't American officials who planted the dirty bomb in Moscow that was found. It wasn't some NSA official who dug the tunnel under the US embassy in Rome. It wasn't an American officer that met with Atta and two hijackers in Prague. It wasn't an American delegation of government workers that holed up in the church in Jerusalem. Those weren't Americans marines who were caught trying to assassinate Bush in Kuwait. Those weren't Americans who invaded Kuwait and pumped oil into the Persian Gulf or who bombed places in Indonesia and the Phillipines. It wasn't American officials who were involved in the WTC 1 bombing or the Millenium plots.

I forget, we're supposed to believe that American officials always lie but people who run countries like slaughterhouses are always to be given the benefit of the doubt.

There are crooks in every culture, but we know about ours because of the press and free flow of info, while the thugs in Iraq, North Korea, and Zimbabwe control their press and have the sympathies of our media to boot. Evil is always defended by the age-old assertions of the pacifists, who close their eyes and repeat to themselves, "America bad, everyone else is good," no matter how many Americans or other people get killed by those they protect, or get killed because terrorists were emboldened to do as they pleased by our apparent weakness and inaction.
