"The university's public affairs office said it had no comment."

Even Harvard's PR department couldn't come up with anything to defend this guy. I'll bet that this guy did NOT work at a Chicago steel mill and help organize the predominantly black workforce to strike. Can any Chicago FReepers remember the 70's and 80's in Chicago?

Prof Ignatiev wants to reduce the behavior differential between whites and blacks. I guess that means that it's our duty as whites and progressive 'Race Traitors' to go out and commit more crimes. What else could it mean?

This guy may be the son of immigrants, but he is so provincial in his focus on the United States. Everyone's seen those pictures from Afghanistan. Those desperately poor people are whites. Where is their 'white priviledge'?

Finally, race means less today in the US than in most countries and means less today than ever before. Happy miscenegation is erasing race barriers in this country at a rapid pace.

Demonstrating that Ignatiev is fundamentally animated by anti-Americanism.

The racism is an added option, at no extra cost.

He is, after all, a practicing Marxist. He hates capitalism, for cryin' out loud, thus he hates America. And, hating America, he hates whites -- who created America.

And, at bottom, he hates that which shelters him: Harvard, itself.

Do you really believe that Ignatiev could achieve tenured professor status at a land grant college? How long would his act last at, say, Auburn? Or Texas A&M?

Would he even be hired at some place like Southwest Oklahoma State?
