2.190. Fight against those who fight against you in the way of Allah, but do not transgress, for Allah does not love transgressors.
2.191. ...drive them out from where they drove you out. (For though killing is sinful) wrongful persecution is even worse than killing. Do not fight against them near the Holy Mosque unless they fight against you; but if they fight against you kill them, for that is the reward of such unbelievers.
2.192. Then if they desist, fight no more, and know well that Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Compassionate.
9.6. "If one among the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him so that he may hear the Word of God; and then escort him to where he can be secure."
2:256 There is no compulsion in religion.
HADITH SAHIH BAKHARI: The Prpphet Muhammed (SAW) said,"Whoever hurts a Non-Muslim citizen hurts me, and he who hurts me annoys God."
The Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said,"He who hurts a Non-Muslim citizen, I am his adversary, and I shall be his adversary on the Day of a Judgement."
The Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said,"Anyone who murders a Non-Muslim will not smell the fragrance of Paradise."

First, explain why you are telling us islam is supposed to be peaceful? Don't you think your time is better spent on the islamic forums where the posters are worshipping Osama bin laden?

You claim there is no compulsion in religion:

Sura 2:256
Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

But the next sura says this:

Sura 3:11-13
(Their plight will be) no better than that of the people of Pharaoh, and their predecessors: They denied our Signs, and Allah called them to account for their sins. For Allah is strict in punishment.

Say to those who reject Faith: "Soon will ye be vanquished and gathered together to Hell,-an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!

There has already been for you a Sign in the two armies that met (in combat): One was fighting in the cause of Allah, the other resisting Allah; these saw with their own eyes Twice their number. But Allah doth support with His aid whom He pleaseth. In this is a warning for such as have eyes to see."

Sura 9:73
O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed.

Sura 5:73
They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

Sura 8:12-14
Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment.

Thus (will it be said): "Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire."

You claim mohammed only fought people who attacked him, but could you tell us of the things Ka`b bin al-Ashraf did when mohammed asked his followers to kill him?
