Well, parents who homeschool are usually very knowledgable about the shortcomings of the local public school.

I didn't realize until somewhere in my late 20's/early 30's how BADLY I had been screwed, education-wise. I knew next to nothing and despised learning because it had been such a depressing and frustrating experience. Now I'm a history bookaholic and homeschool......I simply will not allow my kids to waste away in the brain as I did. Thank goodness I recovered.
