My mother was a fan of Pat Sajack and his "Wheel" show. We knew never to call her during the show. She knew the answers before anyone. She lived to be 89 years and still
watched every show each evening. She was dying in Orlando and US Air was kind enough to put me on a flight ASAP.
I sat in my seat and looked up at the man sliding into the seat next to me. My eyes brimmed and I could not speak.
He was a kind and gracious person and I noticed he did crosswords all the way to Orlando. I tried to tell him of my mother's strict rule about no calls during his show.
I could not. I left him alone on his trip. I was able to
tell my mother I loved her and held her hand as she passed.
Mr Sajack kept her alert, thinking and occupied with his
show for many years. Thanks Pat. Alice thanks you too.

Thank you for sharing that. My Mom and Dad have always been fans of the Wheel. They're now in their eighties and I hope I can be with them in the end as you were with your Mom. I feel even more devotion to our Mr. Sajak as a result of reading your warm story.
