Ann Coulter got "fired" from a two-bit college town newspaper because the liberal editorial staff simply could not stand her opinions. It had nothing to do with Ann's invective. Were it about invective, Molly Ivins or Paul Krugman would have been fired some time ago. But they weren't, so this isn't about Ann's use of the language. That's simply this editor's way of rationalizing his decision to blacklist, so to speak, Ann's column. Coulter's observations about the Kennedys were absolutely spot-on. However, in some parts of the world, Camelot is still worshipped. Ann paid a price for that.
A lot of folks on this board are upset with Coulter's use of invective. Well, it is about time that someone went out and kicked the liberals right in the balls!
You folks who disdain Coulter do not understand her role as a provacateur. She has readily admitted in the past that she uses invective to bait the liberals. We have need for someone the liberals absolutely hate. After all, the liberals have Paul Begala, Ted Rall, Carville, and Molly Ivins, among other members of the extreme left, who are given a full and free airing to attack conservatives for being mean-spirited and hateful, while all the time accusing Republicans of being racist and bigoted.
It's time someone went out and kicked the liberals in the teeth. Ann does that for us, and she's damned good at it.
Personally, I'm glad that Coulter writes the way she writes and does what she does. She kicks ass, and it's about damned time, too.
Unless, of course, you enjoy watching Tucker Carlson do his girly-man routine opposite Paul Begala. I don't.
