For many, the contempt towards America is bred in the bone, nurtured from the cradle, even though the instructors of hate know nothing at all about the United States, have never been there, never even been exposed to that reviled American culture because their lives are backwards and their living circumstances primitive. A nice succinct and accurate statement.

Agreed totally. What's so bothersome in Canada is that so many "opinion makers" who express their hatred of America are in fact ex-pat Americans (draft dodgers, often) who can't get over their contempt of their birthplace. I wish we collectively would pay no attention to them, but alas, our media loves them.
