You miss the point - rapists should NEVER be let out,
once convicted... Hell, imho they shouldn't even be allowed to share our air*

The real point is to change the sentences
meted out, if the offense is so horrific.
As you may guess, I think once someone
has done their time,  they should become
as any other citizen, with the exception
of having a record.  Our clamoring
for creation and continuance of
post-release punishment is, IMO,
a denial of due process.

I agree with that - up to a point. I think Sex Offender registration (especially if it's a child molester - who shouldn't even be getting out, but that's beside the point) is a good thing, though...
