I don't appreciate that, not in the least, and to me it isn't funny. One of the best things about FR is that if someone wants to take issue with anything that I've said they can address me directly. I can also directly address them. What I posted can now be lambasted and lampooned without my ever being given the opportunity of any further reply. What I wrote here has even been changed and the context with which I was answering is completely missed.
Shenandoah's web page says "Do you have any statement you'd like to leave for posterity? email: Shenandoah"
I didn't e-mail what I wrote today to Shenandoah, thus not submitting it for posting there, nor was I asked if it could be posted elsewhere than FR.
No, I don't find this funny at all!

Uh-oh!

My apologies! It's gone.

And believe me when I tell you that I didn't post your statements to be funny. You're right, of course, that the option to post or not is your decision and I shouldn't have taken it upon myself to grab your words.

I really like what you have to say and I wish you would consider putting something up on my site. I don't see anything in what you said that lends itself open for lampooning or lambasting.

Well, again, please accept my apologies. The site, itself, is not an open forum, it is a collection of thoughts that capture the times we live in, and I think you captured the times very eloquently.
