God bless you for your sentiments which are right on the money ... and God grant that millions will acquire such sentiments and the cajones to act upon them in their daily lives.

I can testify, that acting on them, while it may engender risk, is the glue that keeps this nation together and the protien that feeds it. I can also testify that there is a power, greater than us all, that lends support to those willing to stand and supports the cause of liberty. I have seen it and felt it in my onw meager attempts. It is the same power, that same Creator that supported and nourished our founders.

May many millions more stand and declare their beliefs and then act them out in their daily lives at home, at work, at school, in the community, in the state ... and in the nation.

As an American I believe America is great not because of a piece of real estate it occupies, but rather because of simple truths our forefathers had the courage to proclaim:

-All men are created equal under the law
-Government exist to serve the people
-Freedom is worth dying for

As an American I believe God has bless my family and me by allowing us to enjoy the blessing of this great nation.

As an American I believe know I will defend her to my last breath.

English should be declared the official language of America. English is the international language and the reason it is the international language is because it is the language of the most powerful country on earth – the United States of America. You cannot be an airline pilot unless you speak English. You cannot be employed on a cruise ship unless you speak English. English is required in schools around the world. Why shouldn’t English be required of every American – because it is "racist" to propose such a thing? The story of the Tower of Babel is one of the oldest stories in the world and it perfectly illustrates where this country is now headed. Once we lose our ability to communicate with one another, we cease to exist as a nation. "Ebonics" is utterly absurd. It is just another in-your-face-America attempt by malcontents with an axe to grind to undermine our great nation and to excuse laziness. Instead of pushing "Ebonics", community leaders should be encouraging people to master our native tongue, which will provide them with the tools needed to compete in our society.

BUMP!

I believe that the right to keep and bare arms isn't about hunting or sport shooting. It's about the sacred right and responsibility of protecting my home and family from those who would do us harm, whether they be thieves and marauders, or the agents of a bloated and arrogant government.

I believe that declaring that America's enemies are evil and should be destroyed is merely common sense. Those who call it "jingoism" or "cultural imperialism" or merely "insensitive" are siding with our enemies and should be treated like them.

I believe that anyone who in any way aided or showed sympathy for the barbarians who murdered thousands of our countrymen on Sep 11, 2001, is an enemy of our country and should be treated as such.

I believe God loves America, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with saying that either.

[ heavy music starts to play ]

"What I Believe."

I believe in rainbows and puppy dogs and fairy tales.

And I believe in the family - Mom and Dad and Grandma.. and Uncle Tom, who waves his penis.

And I believe 8 of the 10 Commandments.

And I believe in going to church every Sunday, unless there's a game on.

And I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, wholesome and natural things.. that money can buy.

And I believe it's derogatory to refer to a woman's breasts as "boobs", "jugs", "winnebagos" or "golden bozos".. and that you should only refer to them as "hooters".

And I believe you should put a woman on a pedestal.. high enough so you can look up her dress.

And I believe in equality, equality for everyone.. no matter how stupid they are, or how much better I am than they are.

And, people say I'm crazy for believing this, but I believe that robots are stealing my luggage.

And I believe I made a mistake when I bought a 30-story 1-bedroom apartment.

And I believe the Battle of the Network Stars should be fought with guns.

And I believe that Ronald Reagan can make this country what it once was - an arctic region covered with ice.

And, lastly, I believe that of all the evils on this earth, there is nothing worse than the music you're listening to right now. That's what I believe.

I think it is reprehensible that my hard-earned money also goes to support worthless, alcoholic, druggies whose only contribution to society is to produce more of themselves, or to the arts that make a mockery of values that decent Americans hold dear.
You've polluted. Clean up your mess.
You are very narrowminded.
I will agree though that art endowments are a waste.
The Blame-America crowd can find themselves some nice, little, marxist third-world country to move to.

Creative editing at work. Not me, you. I wish everyone would reread this with my edits. You've made it petty.

And that was the "full article", not an excerpt. Why did you do that? Your link has nothing more other than replies. You should've left well enough alone.

I like and agree with most of your post. Here are some points on which I would like to offer some clarification:

no one has the right to determine how rich the rich should be.

We shall see the next time there is a pilot strike. FReepers will come out from under every rock and tell all how much the pilots should make.

Terms like "diversity", "sensitivity", and "tolerance" are code words for government handouts.

No. They are the battle cry of those who wish to destroy our culture. Make no mistake, multi-culturalism is all about destroying the Anglo culture which dominates America and the rest of the prosporous world.

So get outta my face with your “reparations.”

Reparations would be the best thing to happen to our nation since 1791. Only when the issue of race is thrown in the face of the white majority, will the majority deal with race in a difinitive manner. Until then, we will vouchsafe the huddled masses some bennies if they leave us alone for another day. This is death by a thousand cuts. Until we face the issue, America will only decline into balkanized chaos.

"Self-esteem" has taken over math, history, and English as the prime objective in American schools, and, unless we get back to educating our children, America is doomed.

No, America is doomed as long as government is the primary teacher of our children. Infusing our children with the gov'ts values is what is killing us.

I don’t believe Bill Clinton fought to save the Constitution. I believe he fought to save his miserable @ss, and that he would have never been able to do so without the unrelenting pressure from the power-hungry Hillary.

Had it not been for our attention to our 401k and stock portfolios, Clinton would have been run out of office. However, as a nation we took the attitude of:

I've got mine.
Don't rock the boat.
I'm so enlightened.

That is what is killing us. As long as we remain in the grasp of affluence, we will never fix what is wrong with our nation. For the health of the nation, pray for a DJIA balow 4000, and a NAZ of 500.
