I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon every time someone sees 666 or a beast somewhere, but I do believe that the Bible is true, and that it is meant for us to understand, with the Holy Spirit's help.

However, this story is quite intriguing to me. The resemblence between the painting and the poster is significant -- not a mistake, in my opinion. Also, the woman riding the beast is uncanny.

I'm not ready to come to a definitive stand on any of it -- not right now. I'm just going to trust the Lord and watch how world events unfold. But I'm going to keep my eyes on the European union. I have for years.

Speaking of 666: Have you heard the theory about UPC symbols? I'll try to find it on the Internet and bring it back to this thread.

No, it isn't a mistake. It's Europa riding a bull (which is likely a manifestation of Zeus). It's Greek imagery that dates well before the birth of John the Apostle, which has already been pointed out in this discussion. Attempting to draw a link betwen it and a "woman riding a beast" as described in the book of Revelation is the work of crackpots in tinfoil hats.
