You think the potential of interstate sale is enough to regulate a product?

The actual sales of illicit drugs across state lines are substantial.

That's what LE and FedGov are doing to all of us with your jackboots kicking in doors and shredding the 4th amendment, the first, in some cases, the 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th, just for openers. But that makes no difference to you.

WHO OWNS MY BODY? Care to take a stab at this question? Is it you? Is it FedGov? Or is it ME? WHO OWNS MY BODY? MY LIFE?

Drug legalization is not a "conservative" issue.

They know that.

Far as that goes, I am one of the owners. Now you answer MY question... who owns MY body? You? Fedgov? Or me?

Far as that goes, I am one of the owners.

This nation belongs to the American people. Through their representatives they have enacted prohibitions against illicit drugs at the federal level and in all fifty states.

You're always free to leave, taking your body and drugs with you.

Suggestion: Try Hong Kong first.

OK, numbnuts now answer MY question: Who owns MY body? You? FedGov (as if the 2 were different)? Or do I own my own body?

Also see post 618. When it sinks in that I have never done illicit drugs nor will I when they are re-legalized, I will be gracious enough to accept your apology for your slander.

Drug legalization is not a "conservative" issue

Rolling back government largesse, the notion of individual sovereignty, and returning to a nation governed by the Constitution, however, are conservative issues. Each one in and of itself trumps any interest the Federal government would have in controlling otherwise-peaceful drug users.

They know that. (Drug legalization "not being a conservative issue.")

How would we know that, Roscoe? You haven't given us one reason why supporting the Drug War is the proper conservative stance on the issue. I can think of at least three reasons why the anti-Drug War stance is: it fights against an ever-encroaching federal government, it reenforces the notions of individual sovereignty and individual responsibility, it takes power from the federal government and gives it back to the states . . .

Let's also not forget it would save the American taxpayer billions and billions of dollars.

There's four. Name one reason why supporting the Drug War should be the proper conservative stance.

You've got roscoe pegged. - He's a communitarian/socialist:

"Whosoever, therefore, out of a state of Nature unite into a community, must be understood to give up all the power necessary to the ends for which they unite into society to the majority of the community," -- Roscoes credo --

Drug legalization is not a "conservative" issue

It was in the New Deal Congress; what's changed, conservatism or the GOP?

Still no answer to my question, huh, roscoe? Gee, you were roscoe-on-the-spot at 0200 my time, but since I didn't leaving you anything more but that one question, I guess you don't wanna embarrass yourself answering it... Can't say I blame you. I'd be awful embarrassed if all I had was bluster and bullsh!t, too. Oh, well...

Roscoe, WHO OWNS MY BODY? You and FedGov or me? Real simple question that strikes at the heart of the issue. Which is why you dare not answer it, I guess.

Geeze, roscoe, it sure has been quiet today... guess you're too gutless to answer a simple question, huh...

WHO OWNS MY NON-ILLICIT_SUBSTANCE_USING BODY, Roscoe? Do you and FedGov own it or do I? Who gets to make my choices for me, roscoe? WHOSE LIFE IS IT, ROSCOE????????
