Thanks fer the bump.

"Reagan is someone we can emulate."

Yep...I became politically-aware in the late-70's, early-80's and becoming part of the Reagan Revolution was a natural course of action for me, and I've never regretted it!!

Thanks for the "PING", my friend.

If Bill Simon gave speaches like this Reagan oratory, he'd kick the s**t outta "Pale" Davis and be elected Governor for sure.

I especially like this little part.

"There is a definite and active role for government, but as our numbers increase and society grows more complex, the idea of an economy planned or controlled by government just doesn't make sense.

Here's another Reagan quote, along the same lines.

"It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work -- work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it.
First Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981

The American taxpayer needs real tax reform and our elected officials must run the federal government like an efficient business. Cutting waste, fraud and abuse from the federal budget is a crucial priority, along with returning some powers and responsibilities to the states.
