I just think what would have occured if God had granted President Reagan a few more years of lucidity and he was able to rise up and speak about Clinton during the fiasco that was his malignant reign. Or if someone of President Bush's calibre had been the nominee in 1996. We would have been spared so much pain.

I've wondered about that too Ivan. But, perhaps, in some strange way 9-11 was a gift. As horrific as it was, it has done something to America. It has reminded who we are. We're a tough, individualistic, in your face people. The rest of the world doesn't like it much, but that's who we are.
It's who you guys are too you know. But your country is now just as asleep as ours was. You are a courageous, stoic people, but you've forgotten that. The girly-men have taken charge and the others have turned away. Deep down though, I know who you guys really are and sooner or later it will come to the surface, just like it has here.
The real men were always still here, they were just silenced by the weeping, hand wringing liberals. They are still there in Britain too. I know, because you're one of them.
