I was thinking December 7th too, but didn't know it was a full moon.
Excellent!

Please include the time zone also.

I like the graphic, sums up my feelings exactly.
It was an error on my part, I transcribed the hour, not the day. December 4, 7:34 UTC/GMT, 2002 will be a NEW moon, i.e., the Moon is near the Sun, it rises at dawn and sets in the evening and the dark side faces the Earth. You want a new moon to roll up the air defenses, at least the radar. Onest [sic] they're blind by night you can have your way with them. We own the night.
During Desert Storm, the UN ultimatum set a deadline on 15 January 1991, which was new moon. The initial attack was launched late on 15 January but the first shot wasn't fired until almost 3:00 AM, 16 January, Baghdad time.
In the dark of a moonless night Apache Attack Helicopters flew deep into Iraq and attacked a long range search search radar. Minutes latter barrage jamming opened up on key remaining radar sites and they were attacked by anti-radiation missiles. Stealth works better when the bad guys can't see you.
