You're welcome. I've a NEW site for the WW2 history buffs that I just discovered.Corregidor

My dad (actually step-dad)Frank Arrigo was a member of the 503d. He and a PFC climbed a poll to raised the flag on Corregidor.

To find out more read: Corregidor 'The Rock Force Assault' by Lt Gen EM Flanagan, Jr. and it mentioned Dad's climb page 210. Dad's climb was mentioned in the older encyclopedia we had at home. The newer ones don't have it in them.

There are lots of pics and info on the page about the retaking of Corregidor.

Hi Gail. Great story about your Dad. There were so many heros in WWII. Sometimes I think people today don't really realize how bloody and difficult a war it was. How are you doing these days? Haven't heard from you much lately.

What an interesting story about your Dad(stepDad but Dad to you). If you have a photo of him, please send it to Billie for inclusion in our collage, along with a note telling of his climb up the poll...Very kewl...thank you..
