Grampa Dave, I am thrilled to see you get this recognition today. I spent so much time reading your informtive replies last year during the Klamth crisis. I had no idea what the enviro watermelons were doing to our country until I spent some time with you, Carrie Okie, Jeff Head and other informed freepers out West. The work that you and other's are doing to combat these commies is priceless. I just want to say Thank You!Upper Sacramento River, CA.

The Upper Sacramento River is one of those special places for Fly Fishers in the early part of the season and in October.
In October, there is this very large fly, the October Caddis that emerges from the water (fish try to eat it then) or comes back to lay its eggs (fish go ballistic then). In the last 30 minutes of light, you can catch and release a whole lot of beautiful trout with PHD's in how not to be caught. However, they act like liberals trying to get our tax $'s during this time period, so if you know what you are doing, you can have an incredible time.
