Confessions of A "Homophobe" By Chris Hansen
Dear Editor,
I am one of those "homophobes" that gay rights activists keep talking about. I think I have good reasons to be afraid. When I was a young boy, I was nearly seduced by a man. I later found out that he had hepatitis!
Since then, I have seen millions of men die painfully and needlessly from AIDS. I have seen decent Catholic churches splattered with blood by gay rights activists. I have also seen indecent priests create catastrophe in their wake. I have seen the Boy Scouts viciously maligned and de-funded simply for trying to avoid the same disaster that has swept through the Catholic church.
I have seen fine people like Dr. Laura Schlesinger publically pillaried simply for exercising her constitutional right to speak out on this issue.
Can I be objective about gay rights? No! I can no longer be objective about gay rights, because I have seen too many wrongs!

Its not homophobia...its homorevoltia |
LOL!!!!!!!!!
Wow, no disrespect intended for Chris, but for a blind man, he certainly has seen a lot! (Just being Silly.)
Speaking of so-called homophobia, I something funny and wish I knew who to attribute it to. I'll paraphrase:
Homosexuality used to be called "the love that dare not speak its name." Now it's "the love that can't shut up!"
(Camille Paglia may be the person who said it, but I'm not sure.)
Especially when he has both hands on your shoulders during the examination.
LOL!
Especially if you're getting a prostate exam and you feel both his hands on your shoulders....
There is nothing irrational in Chris' letter. The gay lifestyle is not something I would promote to anyone, and I know first hand that the doorway into the lifestyle is held open by gays recruiting others into the sickness. Fortunately for me, I never entered, but it did convince me forever that most gays are recruited, not born.
Sad but true.
And the fire-breathing hate, insults and name-calling we see in some of these posts does more to promote the gay agenda than any gay activists ever could...by promoting the stereotype of those who object to homosexaulity as hatemongering idiots. Not too smart!
I beg to differ. The word "homophobe" appears to have been concocted by homosexuals to foster the impression that people who disapprove of their activities are analogous to racists. It gave them a name they can call people with normal sexual inclinations. (Perhaps they sensed that people had come up with names to call them.)
The word appears to be a cobbling together of the words homosexual and phobia. I subscribe to the primary definition of the word phobia as follows:
pho·bi·a Pronunciation Key (fb-) n. 1. A persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous.
Now, since you expressed thoughts that are not abnormal or irrational and your aversion is based on activities that are clearly dangerous, you are not phobic.
Therefore, you are not homophobic.
I agree with your sentiment, but I would like to see a diffferent word used. I refuse to wear the brand of "homophobic". Phobic implies a fear of something. I have no fear of queers (or a cat in the hat!). I simply do not, and will not, agree with their chosen lifestyle. I refuse to have it pushed on me and I refuse to be intimidated by any of their tactics. Homophobic is a term coined by the PC Nazis and I utterly reject it.
I suppose that there may be some people who are truly afraid of the perverts, so they may qualify for the moniker, but not me. I guess I'm more "homo-sick-and-tired-of-their-in-your-face-agenda-everywhere-so-why-don't-they-just-shut-the-hell-up-and-leave-me-alone-...ic"
/rant.
The way I heard it was that in San Francisco, the recruits just sort of get sucked into it. Bwaaa
