I would assume partneship laws are already legal.
If two people wnt to sign any kind of agreement what is the beef
Ain't the same as recognizing it as a marriage

In some respects encouraging stable lasting realtionships among gays is not a bad idea. It is the promiscuity that results in AIDS and other STD's. Just don't ask for my emotive approval. I am completely willing to live and let live but don't stick your sexuality in my face (actually that goes for hetrosexuals also).

This is not good news. At the best, it represents a critical loss of base support. At worst, it could lead to a serious voter mistrust of the candidate, concluding he is just another worthless politician who speaks out of both sides of his mouth...so what's the difference? The vote becomes meaningless, and thus turnout is also lowered. Not good. Not good...

Who in the world is running this campaign? Sure wouldn't want them near any campaign I was involved with!

Bill, Bill, Bill...
You are not going to get any extra votes from anyone who supports Domestic Partnerships. The media isn't going to attack you any less. You'll only depress turnout for you from mainstream conservatives.

The more I hear about our boy Simon the more I'm willing to vote for Argus' German shorthair.

My dog appreciates your endorsement and wants everybody to know that his principles are not for sale, unless you have a nice handful of Jerky Treats.

Republican leadership is at times "Breath Taking".
People call us the Stupid Party. They might be right.
California will continue to dangle in the wind.

The Homo's are at it again. Trying and doing a good job dividing and conquering the Republican Party. The Log Cabin Republicans are just a mole group that the left uses to get our candidates off message.
Wake up, if the Log Cabin Republicans are happy then we are going to lose. We need to kick the the sick b@$tards out of the party now.

I agree with Lou Sheldon. Tricking and deceiving religious conservatives to support an anti-family values and pro gay rights agenda isn't simply sick; its reprehensible. A lot of conservatives are simply going to stay at home on Nov. 5th and the reason we are is because we see no one is prepared to stand up for the values that made this country great. Simon misled and conned all of us and our answer should be to send a message that a "lesser of two evils" approach isn't good enough anymore. We want candidates who are true to their convictions and to the Constitution and we won't play their rigged game anymore. Its as simple as that! Help spread the word on FR to begin turning this country around.

Bill Simon deserves to lose. Against a laughingstock of a governor, Simon has managed to run an even bigger laughingstock of a campaign.
Rather than give myself a heart attack over the miserable state of the California Republican party, I've decided to get my family the hell out of this God-forsaken place once and for all.
Let the exodus begin.

Conservatives need to take their money and their electoral votes to Arizona and Colorado. It's time to abandon California once and for all.

Carl Rove (that means Bush).

Not that I want to imply that I am associating myself with any of the comments here, because I ain't, but are you stealing my line? I suggested the canine strategy some time ago, but it was for a Texas dog.

You are dead wrong about Rove running this campaign for Simon. If Karl was running it, there wouldn't be the mistakes the Simon folks are making. I suppose you think Karl could be in two places at one time.
What is with some of you blaming Rove for everything that goes wrong. Look at who is running the Simon campaign in CA and you will have your answer. They were not prepared to take the race into the general election it seems.
You win general elections because you hire good people around you. Not to mention the WH folks didn't support Simon in the general because of reasons I don't know but it looks to me like they were right.
Until conservatives get really good candidates and really good campaign staffs, these debacles will continue to happen. I didn't like Rioden but he would have been a better candidate. Looks to me like Karl knew that too!
