Asa Hutchinson's promotion to the DEA should have been enough for even the staunchest anti-legalizer to consider the inherent corruption of the Drug War. Alas, like the 10 year anniversary of Ruby Ridge, the neo-Cons prefer debating troop movements in the Middle East.

Hey - what more could they ask for? A nebelous "war on terrorism" can justify even more Federal authority and budgets than the "war on drugs" and the "war on poverty" combined. Plus it is much easier to piggy back the justification for Empire on the tragedy of 9/11 and "terrorism" than it is to do so with drugs and poverty.

You know the 10 year anniversary of Ruby Ridge came and went, we noted it here on FR, but the big media ignored it. The 10 year anniversary of the big hurricaine in Florida was certainly doted over by the media. But through it I realized what happened. On august 21, 1992 the federal soldiers crept onto randy weaver's land, shot and killed his 14 year old son in a surprise attack without even identifying themselves as federal pigs, then they killed his wife while she held a baby in her arms. You all know that, I just wanted to review. But right after that happened god started working on that little storm out in the atlantic and sent it over to south florida with a big fury. The hurricaine hit on august 23, 1992. god was angry.

Wasn't Asa Hutchinson the federal District Attorney for Arkansas at the time?
