Congratulations. Graciousness and reconciliation are always well received. I little goes a long way. My favorite example of publicly disagreeing with one's enemy in a respectful way was the opening of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty" speech (which BTW was also posted on an earlier thread)...

"No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the house. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve."

I am very glad you posted that quote. I now have it copied and will post it on threads where hostility is rampant. I never could understand being nasty to those who disagree, since to do so closes them to your own position.
