I find it very disconcerting that this guy is so good looking. You can easily understand why the victims let him get close enough to kill them. He just doesn't look dangerous.

Yep, just like Ted Bundy. People think that a guy is safe if he looks good and that the bad guys look like Snidely Whiplash. Forget about it, you never really know.

That was my first thought. . .kept looking at the picture; looking for a even a hint of evil. . .
. . .like maybe if he smiled; we could see something missing in his eyes or something.
. . .but the reality is that real evil has it's own asthetic and is never easily recognized and hence it's power.

Isn't this guy the brother of the famous kidnapped boy who was returned to the family 10 years after being kidnapped? They made a TV movie about it.

Funny, but I was just thinking he looks like Charles Manson.

What I find even more "disconcerting" is that this guy admitted upfront to everything...yet he ended up with a defense lawyer and WE all got to pay for a "Not Guilty" plea. Once again, it proves true: Lawyers are the root of all evil.

Seriously though, I guess I've always looked like a killer but have the heart of a lover.
Alas!

What you are saying is called the halo effect. Good looks translates to other good attributes in our flawed human way of sizing up people. It can be true or untrue of course. Unfortunately if this is what was happening in the murders here the mistake was fatal. Prayers for the victims souls and their families.

And here I was thinking the guy looks kinda creepy. Amazing how people can see the same photo and draw different inferences. Human perception is such a mystery at times.

Wow, I was thinking the exact same thing!
