The moderate Muslims that I have talked with have expressed their frustration on such Islamist tactics. They say that Islamists want to divide the one American nation into groups based on religions to start a civil strife and communal discord as it exists in all Muslim countries. When I start hearing this from the general media, and when "moderates" start marching on Washington to protest the idiocy of the Islamists, I will rejoice.

thanks for the post.
I just started reading Daniel Pipes' book "Militant Islam Reaches America". In it he describes the difference between the moderates, those who believe in a personal religion based on tradition, and the Islamists, who view Islam as a utopian political ideology to be forced on the world. It's a great book so far. If anyone else has read it I'd be interested in their opinion.

Situations are being created under which a non Muslim is made to think that Islam is not a peaceful religion and Muslims are not law abiding citizens. Continued... Yeah yeah yeah, only in liberal circles and in America do we believe is such crap. Point is the muslim religion does not proselytise peacefuly. Every religion is mainly founded on its proselytist practices. Jews must be a light onto nations, christians confess sins transparently, and what does the muslim religion do? They say they are the best because Christians and Jews were not following the laws, so Mohammed had to clean things up for the world.... yeah right, if that is not a crusade, then what is?
