This doesn't surprise me at all. Prior to NAFTA cocaine used to be smuggled around the ports of entry. Since NAFTA all the coke and herione goes through the ports of entry. The only drug we see out in the desert is marijuana. If it wasn't for small time alien smugglers we probably wouldn't see illegals crossing the desert either.
