This article makes less sense every time it is posted

I heard some Bircher recently saying that the whole Soviet collapse thing was a fake to lull us into a false sense of security and bail out the Commies in Russia, who are just lying in the weeds waiting to take over.

What I'm amazed at, is given that the Birchers think every President since Eisenhower was either a Commie or a dupe, how has the U.S. survived the Communist onslaught for this long?

When was the last time it was posted?? Look at the date of the article.

I wish you would address the points that you disagree with and can support your position.

It makes me think you never even read the darn articles and then slander them and me with pitiful refrains that it has been posted before. You haven't been totally straight on that acount but I forgive you.

As for the article I thought it raised many good points.

The administration claims that because Hamdi has been designated an "enemy combatant," the government can detain him for as long as it wishes.

Label and then work off that label. No trial or hearing or lawyer needed.

"We are a law abiding society." Repeat that line until you believe it.

And this:

Hamdi – according to the Pentagon’s own account – played no role in planning or carrying out the Black Tuesday terrorist assault.

Seems the government says that he is guilty of nothing concerning 9-11. He was guilty of fighting the Soviet backed Morthern Alliance.

Karsai is Uzbek and is so bold as to wear his Uzbek hat in a nation where Uzbeks have always been minority. That should set real well with the Pashtuns. Bets on his length of service?? The length of his life??

I don't like the policy that GWB and Company have adopted. Although limited by a neutered Congress and what thinking public that is left with a mind not souped up by the war drums. And all to go to war "somewhere, anywhere, asap."

Somewhat reminds me of the ARGENTINIAN MILITARY invading the Falklands to keep the people souped up on military victories and past glories to be relived all to keep the people's minds off of what a mess those generals had made of the nation with their dirty little internal war.
