When about 15,one of my boys dropped a good bluecat he was handling in a boat.One of the pectoral fins stuck into his bare foot and out the bottom of it.

When he jerked it out,part of his flesh ripped out on the barbs.

Got finned worse than any other I'd ever seen. :(

I've poked a few holes in both hands on catfish spines, but nothing like that. Ouch.

Best thing to stop the pain from a poke from a fin is the goo that is on the catfish.
