Where do you get that Hispanics were the predominate population from 1847 on? You are a liar. In 1970 you rarely saw a Hispanic in So. Cal. They were a minority of the population simply because there had never been many of them in Calif. It was not until the Calif. boom that they started showing up. It is also Mexican govt. policy to retake what they see as their land which is nonsense. In Arizona the Apaches killed any Mexicans they found. It was the US army that made it safe to be there.
