A mound of rubble and an empty hole look sort of surreal and sterile on television. People need to see the human toll this took, not just the damaged real estate.

Luckily, our local cable system picked up the BBC for a week or so around 9/11 - so I saw many of the photos that our media will not show now.
To me, the fact that the photos are being supressed for "racial, cultural" reasons tells me the entire "War on Terror" is a sham.

As someone that lives 1/2 mile north of what was the World Trade Center in NYC, I think Fox News is being very responsible. We all know what happened on 9/11/01 there is no need to see those planes slam into what was the World Trade Center over and over and over like we did during the first month after the atrocity.
I applaud Fox News for its restraint.

I agree, no matter how you couch it,censorship is censorship and only helps those that wish to subjugate the masses through imposed ignorance...

Earlier this AM on Fox and Friends , Steve Doocy stated that on 9/11, Fox will be showing the planes hitting the buildings (WTC) at the exact time that the events occurred--
that will be the only time that day that the very emotional shots will be shown.
Nothing was said re: not showing the results of the dramatic impact, the rubble, the walking wounded, the devastated looks of fear.
For many people, viewing the horror of the initial impact seems to elicit the worst of memories and revulsion.
While I agree people must be reminded of the horror, the death, and destruction that occurred there is a point where showing the times of impact over and over again will turn people off. There is a fine line between remembering this horrific event and getting hit on the head with it, ad infinitum,to the point that it no longer serves as the reminder of what and why we, as a country, must pursue those responsible, individuals or countries, and get rid of all of them.

Does anyone have an email address for Roger Ailes?

I have been quite upset with the sanitizing of the 9-11 tragedy. People need to see, to be reminded what was done. Graphic, totally gory footage is not necessary, but it is SO important that people are reminded of the pain this caused.
So many issues, like abortion, crimes, etc, survive merely because the powers that be don't want to offend people's sensabilities. If the pain wasn't sanitized away people would be outraged on so many more things. I am reminded of a line Merlin said in the movie Excalibur, "For it is the doom of men that they forget."
By the way, CNNFN had an excellent, unsanitized version "America Remembers" this week. The 2nd half is being broadcast this weekend. I hope it is as good as the first.

Judging from some of the comments by FNC news readers, they are following CNN into the rat hole of democrat politics.

People who object to repeated showings of the Attacks (which apparently are not going to happen, anyway) should turn OFF their TV's and allow the rest of us to view the pictures.
It's a stinkin' crime on part of the TV execs to have withheld and censored the videos especially so quickly after the attacks last year.
It's only 3000 fatalities. We wouldn't want to upset the kiddies, would we.
Advance Info is good; i think i've decided not to watch any of the networks. Perhaps the Spanish or other channels will be more honest in what they show us.

I agree with Fox.
Why if I hadn't been repeatedly exposed to those films of the Japanese navy planes swooping in on Pearl Harbor on that quiet Sunday morning, I just know I wouldn't carry with me to this very day an alarming animosity to all things Japanese and the firm belief that if it suited their purposes they'd do it again tomorrow.
I don't want to spend the rest of my life hating the devious swine that murdered 3,000 of my fellow citizens and wanting to exterminate them where ever and whenever they are found.
Oh no, I don't want that!

Fox News has announced that they'll show the sequence of the planes hitting the WTC once, then never again.Unlike the other television media, FNC has shown the planes hitting the WTC many times in the past 11 month

While I'm always one to encourage making your voices heard when it comes to media, etc., etc....... I only ask that everyone keep in mind, if you contact FNC, that that network is the ONE breath of fresh air on the airwaves these days (when it comes to TV / cable, that is). They've done a superb job, they have fantastic news shows that truly DO show both sides of the story, and I'm damned glad they're around. Just asking that we NOT attack them; just offer up an opinion, please.

What should be replayed is the 2 hour documentary filmed by the two French brothers shown on CBS. That was magnificent.
About Fox, they have had many features on 9/11 and had one just this past weekend. I think that they have done a good job over the past year with reporting about 9/11 and will this year in remeberance. No need to freep them.

Fox News has been showing the shots of 911 ad nauseum since the day it happened. On the one day that they should show them, they've opted for restraint?

I like the guy and find him an intelligent and quiet alternative to the "younger and smarter" show. They are truly in a rut over there. Same ole, same ole.
