Before anyone says otherwise imagine if someone blurbed on national news that we were planning to invade Normandy.
The proper comparison would be someone blurting out that we were planning to invade Europe (not Normandy.) And of course Hitler already knew that. That's why he put Rommel in charging of reinforcing the Atlantic Wall. There's not the slightest thing wrong with anyone saying we're planning to invade Iraq. The president, all his advisors, multiple heads of state in Europe and the Mideast have been saying the same thing for the last six months. The only way Saddam wouldn't know we were planning to invade was if he'd died from happiness last September.
As for me, I'm glad your statement is on the record. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever read.
