I love Steyn, but the NEA makes me so mad all I can see is red (pun).

Last spring I read that some western state was fining the NEA for contributing an insane majority of its funs to the DNC. I was hoping that 49 other states would follow suit but even the story of that western state seems to have vanished.

Every teacher I've known for the past 15 years hates the NEA. What gives? Why is it still around? Could it be - Demoncrats?

I called my son's school on Monday and talked to the principal, expressing my concern about the NEA and what they suggested in regards to 9/11. The principal hadn't even heard of the suggestion, and told me that they had planned on having the kids wear patriotic clothes and have a patriotic ceremony that day. There are schools and teachers in America that are still doing it right.

Because every teacher you've known for the past 15 years
joins the NEA and sends them money.

Beware.
