Bush Jr. has done a nice job of learning from past mistakes. And as I have said before, you have not taken any conservative that HAS supported amnesty out (Hyde, Sensenbrenner, DeLay - those are the big names).

Heck, nobody's even challenging them. Your beef has not shown up in any of the polls about national priorities. In other words, it's about as relevant as Pat Buchanan has been since the 2000 election.

Take a shot if you feel lucky.

Ah, such confidence. The kind of confidence that appears at peaks just before a change. The Democrats were so convinced that Bush Sr. was unbeatable that their major contenders bowed out of 1992 election and let Slick Willie take the democratic nomination. It's a long way off to the 2004 election and I wouldn't take comfort in high water mark polls that have great downside potential.
