Well, that's what you get for staying in the chicken coop. If the world outside were freeer, civil rights in the US would not be an issue anymore. This is war, we have to kill Saddam and proeselitist thugs whereever they are.
Are these examples of staying in the chicken coop: U.S. aid to radical fundamentalists (including Bin Laden) in Afghanistan during the 1980s, the tilt in favor of Iraq during its war with Iran, the U.S. War with Iraq (the largest single military operation since WWII), a failed nation-building operation with U.S. troops in Somalia, Bosnia, and Haiti, U.S. bombing and the deployment of troops in Yugoslavia, deployment of U.S. troops to Macedonia, over a hundred billion dollars of aid to Israel since the 1940s, no-fly zones and the shooting down of Iraqi plans in Iraq for the last decade, U.S. bases in the Middle East, etc.?
Your revisionist theory that we have stayed in the Chicken Coop bears no relation to reality. Your policy of intervention certainly has been given a fair try and has failed.
