With a little luck the cops will get sued to the point they are all walking beats because they can't afford cars.

Then they can engage in foot chases on racers.

They civil courts need to slap the donut eaters down hard.

Here in Loudoun County VA two years ago the police raided the county fair and seized the Granny Ladys' pies 'cause they had not been baked in Health Dept. approved kitchens. Hence the "pie police' This is to go along wth the drug police, the alcohol police, the dirty pictures police, the music sharing police,et al. and points to a global criminalization of just about any aspect of life that the blue-stocking radical right doesn't approve of. Phooey!!

There is abuse of power.

There is stupidity.

This qualifies as both.

What really rubs me the wrong way - there were alot of officers there that night. Were they "just following orders?" Did any of them speak up? Something doesn't seem right.

"May I see your papers please?" will be the next question to come out of some black suited jack booted thug at the local hot dog restaurant.

The problem is that if the people don't respond in a very powerful way, what will all the onlookers think who wear a blue suit?
