I don't see the connection between breast cancer research and the link between abortion and breast cancer. Of course, to the extent factual, all those considering an abortion should be made aware of the link (and the link should of course be one subject of such research), but that is another matter. The Congressman is in trouble because of his crude fusing of the two. If he wasn't so ham handed, he could have said he favored the research, and one important focus of it should be on further investigating the link, and making it more widely known.
