Maybe not. All the talking heads have been talking about how if he is on death row, it's lovely & quiet and much nicer than the rest of the prison. Over 600 of them even have their own web sites set up!

Plus, even if he doesn't get the death penalty, many others have said that nowadays the prisons separate out the child molesters (read: protect them from the rest of the prison population) & stick them in their own wing.

Also, Mark Klass says his daughter's killer is still on death row, has been since 1996 & hasn't even been assigned an appellate lawyer! This is a "silent protest" from the defense bar -- if the murderer's appeal can't proceed, his appeal can't be rejected, and thus he can't be executed. Is this a great country, or what?!

I wasn't aware of that. Web sites, yet! I do remember seeing a film about Richard Speck, who murdered 8 nurses in Chicago. He was dressed up in women's clothes, smoking marijuana, and having a grand old party time on death row.

Westerfield is not very healthy looking. Hard time kills a lot of soft guys like him. I don't think he'll last long in prison.
