NEVER FORGET

...Actually, in our Post 9-11 World .."WE WERE SOLDIERS".. did just fine. With many movies opening to less BoX Office and then disappearing from screens after just a couple of weeks...

...RANDALL WALLACE's 'Braveheart in 'Nam Film stayed 15 weeks in theaters across the America, then opened up abroad in Japan, Germany, Spain, France, etc.

...Although it's No. 1 MEL GIBSON Weekend Opening March 1st didn't pull in as high a Box Office Gross as originally hoped, $20.2 Million, this outstanding Motion Picture had very long "Legs"..!

.."Legs" so long that it was decided to move up a planned November DVD/Video Release to August 2002. Theater Gross so far has been over $80 Million.

...Come Oscar Time USA...???

NEVER FORGET

Thanks for the ping.

I know you will be interested to know that the book about Rick Rescorla will be released in 2 weeks or so. It's called HEART OF A SOLDIER by James B. Stewart. I have read it.... predict it will be a bestseller. You're gonna love it. I also predict that Rick's story will heal alot of soldiers, as he had to heal himself. This website will direct you to places you can order the book: http://www.calegionpost149.org/rescorla/

This is a website for the California Legion - they're raising funds to help erect a monument honoring Rick in his native Cornwall. Eventually, we will commission a statue of Rick, modeled after that famous photo on WWSOAY, and place it at Ft. Benning.
