Do it!
- Do it in memory of the 3000 Americans lost that day.
- Do it to show the NEA what you think of those who think we "deserved this" or "brought it on ourselves".
- Do it to show your kids how important this event truly was.
- Do it to rescue your kids from the junk that they are guaranteed to "share" that day.
Do it!

Brovo!
I think this ia a movement Freepers could get behind. Perhaps Free Republic parents and conservative educators can share a curriculum for the day. While I find myself in disagreement with some of you from time to time, your arguments generaly a built on substance.
And Teacher317... Do it because it hits them in the only place they feel it. The bank!!!
God Bless you, America and our future (the kids of America)

Good for you! I'm proud that you've chosen to take this step! It's an important one and shows that you are totally committed to your child's well being! Public schools are nothing but socialist indoctrination factories..any parent who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves!

I think the President should go on TV and accuse the NEA of being an organization sympathetic to the terrorists and then seize all of their assets. It is plain and simple to me that the NEA is giving aid and comfort to the ENEMY. That would be a very cold day in hell, my friend.

The murder of 3000 is no small thing and deserves a large, rather than small, response. Amen!

Maybe you don't live in the Sacramento Area... but 5,000+ screaming energized Freepers and fellow grassroots conservatives know who Mark Williams is ... his talk radio show brought most of them out for three or four record setting Capitol rallies. The CHP called it historic for numbers and respectful family oriented protests.
He walks the walk as well as talks the talk... and he's a friend to Freepers. Up here in commieville, we stand shoulder to shoulder and back to back for our friends! Need to know anything else?

My children are not in the NEA's care, thank you very much. Staying home is not as effective a way to defend your position, standing up and being heard is. You might also persuade others to come over to your side.
What if pro-life defenders just stayed home instead of hitting the streets to be seen and heard?

Only problem with standing-up is that if your child speaks out against the liberal claptrap the PC they try to spew, they'll be taken to the office and either expelled for a day/or 3, and be sent home.\
'Course, that'd be worth it!

Best response might be for Christians to mobilize massive door-to-door evangelistic efforts in heavily Moslem neighborhoods.

I don't really have a horse in this race. My kids attend our small underfunded parish school. They are allowed to do all kinds of strange thing there, like pray. Truth is that you are probably right about the staying home issue. I just think something HAS to be done about the NEA. A supposed trade union, they have no business being involved what is taught or taking political stands that amount to indoctrination for American children.

Some people don't have any choice but to send their kids to public school. Not in the USA.
It is a matter of one's priorities.
We all make the choice as to what is important to us.
Whether to send one's child to a government school or not - is a choice.
And, saying it is not is an excuse.

Heck! It's not the worthless commie scum NEA that's to blame. It's not the worthless commie scum who belong to the NEA that are to blame. After all, neither group has ever wavered from the marxist agenda calling for the destruction of all vestiges of a capitalist economy and the former Republic.
The blame, for the past 20-30 years, belongs to the evil child-abusers who continue to commit their offspring to NEA-controlled government asylums.

How can one say that when their kids are attending the publicccp schools.

I wasn't in a financial position to give much of anything, other than a few local firefigher fundraisers which went directly from us to them (the NYFD). In light of what happened to Red Cross money, I'm glad I didn't give them my hard-earned dough.

another reason to home school.

My kids have been very outspoken throughout their high schoool careers. they have never been admonished for their views or told they're wrong or itolerant. Fact is, we live in an area that is probably 50/50 liberal/conservative, so their are plenty of others with conservative views.
