I'd sure like to give them a piece of my mind - even tho I do not watch the Today show. The advertisers' support of that garbage means they will lose my economic support.

The way I read the lyrics, the "glorification" is all in the speaker's mind. It's all from the speaker's point of view, and that first-person perspective (to this English teacher) is what makes it subjective, not objective.

If Steve Earle had intended to glorify terrorism, he could have picked a far clearer way to do it.

I don't think Matt Lauer is even all that ideological. Howard Stern knew him personally before his Today show fame. Basically Lauer is just an opportunist who will do ANYTHING for the bucks.
