I'm not used to that, at least not anymore. My pastors are all godly, spirit-led men and it's a lot different there than it was in some of the mainline churches I used to attend. He sounds like a legalistic pastor with very little compassion for the sinners in his congregation. I can only assume that, however, since he's not my pastor and I've never sat under his teaching. If he had a problem with her behavior, he needed to do what the Bible says and to go to her privately and speak to her. Then if she doesn't listen, take another one with you as witness. Saying things to her out loud in a congregation is cruel.
