Oh, she'll be back -- and trying to claw her way back in will force her to call more attention to herself than she would as a sitting member of Congress. Thus, we've not only gotten a terrorist-symapthizing loon out of power, but we've actually increased the 'Rats' embarassment in the long run.

For what it's worth, GOP turnout despite the 4th CD action statewide seems to have swamped the Dem turnout. Granted the Dems didn't have competitive races, but this all bears watching for the general statewide election for govenor and senator.

Very interesting point. Thanks. Perhaps a little more good news for Saxby, who could certainly use some.

Governor Mike Foster is apparently thinking seriously of entering LA's Senate race. Which would ensure a runoff between him and Landrieu, and maybe give Republicans a 50% chance of winning. That would make the Democratically held seats in the Senate look like this:

1. SD

2. NJ

3. LA

4. MN

5. MO

6. GA

7. IA

8. MT

If this happens, and with what is going on in NJ, our chances of taking back the Senate would go up to 50/50.

Oh, wow! A small world indeed!

My parents are members at St. Andrews' also. My daughter & I sing in the choir when our family is down there to visit. Wonderful church - great people.

I also have a lady-dog, my Chocolate Labrador Shelley, who is out in the backyard looking for chipmunks (our local vermin) as we speak. She has actually caught one! (The going market price for chipmunks, by the way, is 4 Nutro Training Treats. That's what it took for her to give it up for decent burial . . . fortunately, before she tore it to shreds.) :blech:

Neither do I. He seems to have this silly notion that McCrazy will just go away, never to be heard from again. Not bloody likely -- her sense of self-importance makes Billzebubba look like St. Francis of Assisi.
