My daughter, who lives in Hunterdon County ( the NJ side of the Delaware River ), saw movement across the road, and spotted ( and photographed ) a black bear, which was trying to chow down on a bird feeder.

There is now a Mama bear, with 2 cubs, residing in their neighborhood-as discovered by an early morning jogger.

I live in Hunterdon County too. And I see a bear every other week or so.

I don't approach them. I don't feed them. I don't leave my dogs, cat or children out to tempt them.

And do you know what? We get along fine.
