"This particular amendment was struck down by the U.S. District Court in March as an unconstitutional free-speech abridgement."

Barr's anti-drug fanaticism leads to additional anti-freedom fanaticism. Barr goes out and attacks the electoral process by preventing votes from being counted. He attacks freedom of speech. He opposes relief for sick people. He slanders people and uses his office to intimidate citizens. That's where anti-drug fanaticism leads to.

I hope he goes down. Him and Cynthia McKinney. I believe the election's today, yes?

The LP plan turns me off. It is really a sign of how desperate the LP is. It is the last straw for me, a sometimes contributor and frequent voter for the LP for 3 decades.

I suppose you support Barr's support for Hollywood pigopolists like the RIAA and MPOA that want to put Big Brother in your computer so they can know what you watch, how often, etc. "Conservatives" like Barr, who can be bought by Hollywood money, we need like a hole in the head.

The Libertarian anti-Barr / anti-drug war ad is one of the worst ads I have ever seen. It is so obviously stupid it could actually cause people to vote for Barr.

The ad shows some poor, pitiful old woman (who is missing half her teeth) in bed complaining that Bob Barr has been has been working to take away her medicine. Just when your heart starts to break for this woman, you find out she is talking about MARIJUANA.

Nothing backfires more than a dishonest ad.

Legalizing medical marijuana may be a big issue in some parts of the country, but not in the district Barr is running in. Probably more people in that district support Al Queda (which is about zero) than support medical marijuana.

Bill Buckley's friend, author Peter McWilliams, died because he couldn't take medical maijuana. He choked on his own vomit, because he couldn't keep the anti-cancer drugs down without pot.

You have not been watching the polls in Nevada regarding decriminalization. Not medical marijuana, but real decriminalization of possesion.

Thank God...another has seen the light...the LP is more harmful than good, loving to label anyone who disagrees with them...Barr supports the WOD, so he is now an evil monster....these guys are REALLY over the top on most of their definitions of all things political and historical.

Tells you a lot about the simple-mindedness of those in Barr's district.

Yep. We define the government taking over 1/3 of our income and wages as being waaaaay too much. Call us crazy.

What the heck does Nevada have to do with anything? I was talking about the district Barr was running in in Georgia (that's like on the other side of the country from Nevada, in case you don't have a map handy.)

Like I said, in GEORGIA's 7th district, legalizing marijuana is about as popular as Al Queda.

If they wanted to damage Barr, they should have picked an issue that would have resonated with the voters in Georgia's 7th district, not Nevada.

From Neal Boortz:

SOME LISTENERS ARE FURIOUS

They're furious with me because of my support for John Linder over Bob Barr. Sorry you're mad, folks. But I call them the way I see them. I'm just as furious with Bob Barr as you are with me. Bob Barr put his personal political ambitions over the good of this country. Bob Barr made the decision to move out of a congressional district that he knew he could carry, in order to challenge John Linder in another district. Barr left a district where 70% of the population is already represented by him and moved to a district where only 17% of the population is currently represented by him. When Barr made that decision he knew full well that the district he left would fall to the Democrats. He was the Republican Congressman for most of those people --- and he left. At a time when the Republicans only hold the slimmest of margins in the House of Representatives, Bob Barr decided to hand the Democrats one more seat in a quest to buy easier campaigns for him down the road. No matter who wins today in the 7th, there's going to be one less Republican and one more Democrat in the Georgia delegation ---- and the blame rests with Bob Barr.

Maybe some of you ought to redirect some of your anger.

ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR “LIFESTYLE AUDIT?”

The IRS is bringing them back. Are you ready? Here’s the deal. If the IRS targets you for a lifestyle audit they will send government agents into your neighborhood to interview your friends and neighbors. They will talk to the people who work with you, and the people who play with you. The IRS will then take all of this information and make some sort of a determination of just how much money you have to earn to support your particular lifestyle. They will then review your tax returns to see if you are reporting and paying taxes on that level of income.

Remember, now. There is one bill in Congress that could stop all this. It’s the Fair Tax Bill, HR 2525. This bill would call for the repeal of the 16th Amendment, the elimination of the IRS, the end to all income and payroll taxes, and the implementation of a national retail sales tax. The sponsor of this bill is Georgia Congressman John Linder. If Linder loses to Bob Barr in today’s primary HR 2525 is history.

Now, just how much support do you "true patriot"...knowers of all good for America really have? Oh, let's see....Harry the Clowne Browne got less than 5% of the vote....You guys are not wrong on every issue, but you sure know how to drive people away from you like a skunk at the picnic.
