Teachers nationwide say they will develop lesson plans about September 11 based on students' questions and will focus on the facts to correct any misconceptions children may have about the terrorist attacks.
Several teachers said they will tell the "truth" about the terrorists and their religious background, and will avoid the National Education Association curriculum that cites American intolerance as a reason for the attacks and cautions against assigning blame.

Thousands of Americans die at the hands of fundamentalist Islam in general, Bush's well-named "axis of terror" more specifically, and the NEA wants to whitewash it and lie to our kids and pretend it was some kind of accident?
In another day, in another war, in another time, the crowds would have gathered at sunrise to watch the executions. Apparently none of the socialist rodents (and in so saying, I do injustice to the squirrels and gerbils of the world...) in the NEA lost anyone in the World Trade Center collapse? Or maybe they think it was just a made-for-TV movie? Or...
Oh, wait a minute. I'm forgetting again - it was all a conspiracy by Bush to find an excuse to declare war on Iraq so he could get more oil money. Silly me... This is what I get for not having a TV.

Oh, fercryingoutloud, get a grip. Grow up a little bit. Go read the stuff you're bashing before you get all wound up. The reaction to this is all based upon a single Washington Times article that distorts the site's content and the context of the stuff cited. It's really a magnificent spin piece disguised as journalism.
