President Bush continued his working vacation today in Crawford, TX where he continued doing what he enjoys most- working outside. Bush will be hosting a 'military transformation' meeting on Wednesday, which will be attended by Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard Myers and White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card. Condi Rice is also expected to attend. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I hope there are higher ups reading FR - and the Dose. That information is pretty important. The FBI is so mammoth as are the other agencies - it is a wonder they can get their jobs done. The situation you describe is bizarre. Glad you noted it. Maybe somebody will let higher ups know - but, then again, maybe they won't.

Rintense, thanks so much for initiating and moderating this wonderful thread. I'm going thru major 'W' withdrawal, so it's wonderful that you have provided us with the opportunity to post and view pixes of the 'lighter side' of our 'affable' president. [Such pixes are particularly appropriate this evening given that HBO picked today to announce that it plans to air the "Journeys with George" video on November 5.]
To add to your Daily Dose experience, I highly recommend that you visit
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news and listen to the following:
1.) August 16, 2002: remarks by the President at the Volunteer Barbecue Lunch (this is NOT the same meeting that Horowitz attended).
2.) August 13, 2002: remarks made by the President and attendees at the Healthcare Security Session (Economic Forum). You simply must hear (and read the text from) "Grandma Green's" remarks to the session -- what a 'hoot'!

Hi, DrDeb - glad you are here. I heard remarks about Grandma Green on the summary meeting of the Economic Forum broadcast Sunday. So I look forward to reading about what she said - or re-seeing it.
The best person who spoke at the session I heard was a small business owner - black guy - who was GREAT!
He said - Mr. President - I am glad about getting the Corporate CEO's to sign their names on the bottom lines of their financial statements ----- but I want the same requirement from the government people (bureaurcrats) who come and inspect my business and then the next year a different person comes and I am doing the same thing that the guy from the previous year said was ok - but the guy this year says I am in violation and fines me! (I bet he is talking about OSHA - but it could be any number of regulator agencies). I want it so that these people have to SIGN THEIR NAMES each year so that the next year when I am challenged, I can look at last year's inspection and say - see - here - Joe Blow was here last year and said I was ok and things are the same this year as last!
Well - sort of those words - but that is what he was trying to say.
Then he said - and you, sir, can bring the Congress to my business and I will tell them about what they need to do! (Cut regulations and cut taxes!) He started it by saying: Thank you for pushing for the tax cut - but we need another one!
I do hope someone in the Bush team heard this guy - because the number one thing they could do to help small businesses is lay off on the regulations, etc - and call off the bureaucrats!!!! and the TAXES!!!
Again - that Summit was fantastic and I look forward to hearing from Grannie Green!

Two funny ones I can remember are of President Bush peeking out from behind the bushes, and of him holding Barney away from him, as if Barney is about to ***tinkle** on him. Anyone have those? How about President Bush "the Terminator"?

You posted the nipple picture!
I don't believe it. I was gonna post a pic of Jenna the other day, and selected that one, but opted not to when I realized what it was.

Ha! Love that sign!
