To sum it up. Although this article is on the geeky side, typically there is such inertia in the Federal Bureaucracy that they would rather make a show of providing security rather than actually doing it.
Personally, I think we should take the FBI out of Domestic Intelligence and develop a MI5 like organization like the Brits.
