Bet Midler notwithstanding, it depends on one's relationship with HIM as to how one views close proximity TO HIM.

As Loving Father looking at you through Christ's Blood covering or stern exacting Judge can be very different.

I think even those of us believing in modern day prophecy a la Joel and the Apostle Paul ALSO need to be skeptical. However, I believe we ALSO need to be quick to affirm what God forcefully affirms to us in our spirits and with The Word.

It's amazing considering we have never discussed that aspect of the Book of Revelation with her or our son, whom we home school. Bible study is part of our daily schooling, but we have never covered that particular area of the Bible.

What I'm not any longer ready to be adamant about is that a lot of the traumatic stuff is going to happen in one near time era.

WHAT IF the idea that the first 3.5 years of tribulation occurs BEFORE the 1,000 years of peace and 3.5 years of it afterward. I don't know of a Scripture off the top of my head against that idea.. . . what if it's true.

It DOES SEEM TO ME that GOD'S WRATH COULD LOGICALLY COME AFTER the 1,000 years of peace when satan is loosed for a time to tempt those born during the 1,000 years.

I suspect that the massive meteor causing the earth to reel would be part of God's wrath, not likely part of the first 3.5 years of Tribulation.

It seems to me that the earth reeling part would be just prior or part of the earth being "moved from it's place" and the old earth being replaced with a new earth as The Bible says--or "being done away with."

Just opinions, however. . . . and maybe not even strong opinions.

What if 3.5 years has already expired?

Although many parents try to protect their children from things they consider horrifying, G~d has long been giving dreams and visions to children.  I have seen such and I know of a man who had a dream at age 12 of a horse struggling to get its nose high enough out of a sea of blood to breathe, i.e. up to the bridle, and I have read of many other such dreams and visions by children.  Those things can make a believer out of one in a hurry, unless they harden their heart and refuse to depart from iniquity.  See Heb. 3.

A young couple with no church background came to a church and started attending regularly.  Soon they contacted the pastor's office because one of their young children had a vision of Jesus which was unlike the pictures seen with the throbbing heart or knocking on a door and the peace and love, robe and sandals.  The child had a vision which she absolutely insisted was Jesus.  He had hair white as snow, his eyes were like fire, his face was shining, he wore a gold girdle and had burning feet and a voice like a roar and a sword from his mouth.  Because that description did not fit the parents' view of the robe and sandals, etc. they asked the pastor.  He just reached for his King James Bible and read them this:

Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Does anyone remember the details of this story I remember hearing? President Bush Sr. was suppose to go by naval vessel to meet at some Arab summit. It had to do with Israel I believe.

Anyway the area the naval vessel was to land, was the exact same place that Paul was shipwrecked in a storm. I think Paul had gone against where God wanted him to be, or something.

When Bush Sr. arrived in the area there was such a terrible storm that it took a couple of days or more before he could safely leave the ship, and at the same time a hurricane off the coast of Maine tore up his house at Kennibunkport (sp). The same Hurricane that the movie "Perfect Storm" was made about.

Is there any place online where I can learn more about the details of this event?

We agree with Thinkin' Gal on the 3-1/2 years of Yeshua, Him being cut off, and 3-1/2 in the endtimes, and of course no Pre-Trib.  Keep in mind that Oslo was a 7 year agreement and is past.  The simplest thing is to take every doctrine one has ever heard and lay it before the Lord in prayer and repentance and check out each item with Him.  We did and He showed us many doctrines were of men, not of Him and we were to let Him re-teach us by His Spirit from the Word.  There is enough in the Bible to hide the truth from one who comes with the wrong attitudes, so each of us should consistently be seeking the Lord for the answers to all of these matters like signs and timing.  Mary held matters and pondered them and should do the same.  Lu 2:19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.  I'll consider the issue of the war after the 1,000 years after I am through considering the Rev. 6 Seals that are being loosed now.  The first 5 seem to be happening at the same time and the 6th will be some huge events involving earth change:

Re 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Lots of warnings are happening which may be for the short term future -- decks falling into the sea, balconies dropping, trains going over cliffs.  I've posted those links many times.  That IS one of the way the Lord's speaks, as well as to individuals through a still small voice.  All those who think they are going to heaven should definitely put an axe to the root of all sin in their lives and sharpen up their hearing because He can tell who loves Him enough to keep His commandments and who does not.

Yes, here it is.  It was a judgment of God and a clear warning, obviously unheeded.  See this thread:   NEW MADRID--WHAT'S IN A NAME?

1. October 30, 1991: The Perfect Storm—As President George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference to consider “land for peace” in Israel’s Middle East role, the “perfect storm” develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever recorded in that region.

The storm travels 1000 miles from “east to west” instead of the normal “west to east” pattern and crashes into the New England Coast.  Thirty-five foot waves crash into the Kennebunkport home of President Bush.

And so, you can see the connection. A water channel is prophesied to replace dry land in the center of the United States along the New Madrid fault. The event that is said to be the cause of that division is the participation by the USA in the division of Israel. That process began in 1991 in Madrid, Spain. The meaning of the name of that fault, that is to be the place of the great division of the USA, given hundreds of years ago, is "THE WATER CHANNEL".
